Parking on yellow zig zags - Christchurch School

Good Morning Bore Da Resident

This morning I had reason to attend Christchurch School on Ernest Street in Rhyl, at approximately 9am.

Upon my arrival, I have observed 4 vehicles parked on the yellow zig zag safety zone outside the school, contrary to section 36(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1988, the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Full details and video evidence have been recorded and I will be communicating with the registered keepers of the vehicles directly in due course.

Remember, these zones are for the protection of our schoolchildren. Stopping on the zone increases the chances of danger to a child, and you can face prosecution should you choose to do so. We cannot accept and normalise this behaviour. I spend my time in schools educating our children to help keep them safe when at the same time, some parents choose to put the children at risk.

Please respect the safety zone. You can see the actual sign outside the school here with the information you need to know.
