Hello! 

North Wales Police have received a report of Burglary in the Garden City/Sealand area. 

Three containers were broken into and thousands of pounds worth of tools were stolen. 

We are encouraging all local residents and businesses to consider the following crime prevention advice. 

-Ensure that CCTV is installed at the location and it covers areas where valuables are stored. 

-Consider purchasing security lightings which again covers areas where valuables are stored. 

-Consider the quality of padlock you are using to secure your sheds, outbuildings or containers. 

-Consider the use of “ground anchors” to secure tools and other valuables to. 

-To go with the “ground anchors” consider using a good quality chain and padlock to weave in and out of your valuables.

-Consider using the FREE national property register called “Immobilise”.. you can register almost anything! Immobilise is used by almost every police force in the UK. 

-Consider purchasing door/window alarms for your shed, outbuilding or containers. 

-Consider marking items with “SmartWater” (Forensic marking kit). 

What is SmartWater?? 

-SmartWater works in the same way as DNA. 

-Each bottle of SmartWater contains a unique chemical code which is embedded into the solution. 

-One bottle of SmartWater can mark up to 80 items. 

-SmartWater allows stolen or lost property to be forensically traceable back to the owner. 

-SmartWater (when dry) is almost invisible to the naked eye, however glows bright green under UV light. 

-SmartWater can be applied to almost any surface.
