Op Sceptre - Knife Amnesty #LivesNotKnives


This week, 11th –17th November is Op Sceptre which is an action week to help tackle knife crime within communities. We are encouraging the public to hand in unwanted knives & offensive weapons to amnesty bins located throughout the force.

 

It is an offence to carry a knife or dangerous weapon in public, don’t fall into the trap that:
‘everyone is carrying a knife’ or ‘carrying a knife is good for protection’ 
We need to stamp out knife crime for good!

 

Please encourage others to dispose of any Unwanted Knives or offensive weapons. 

Please drop them off for destruction at a local station or recycling centre (listed below), no questions asked. 

Some stations are not manned 24/4 please arrange drop off's with stations before attending, I have listed some opening hours below. 

 

Local Recycling Centres and Police Stations with Amnesty Bins: 
 

         Police Stations:

  • Llandudno Police Station - Open Tuesday - Saturday 9am - 1pm, 3pm - 6pm
  • Colwyn Bay HQ Police Station - Open Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
  • Rhyl Police Station - Open Monday - Saturday 8:30am - 7pm, Sunday 9am - 6pm
  • Llay Police Station - Open Monday - Saturday 8:30am - 7pm, Sunday 9am - 6pm
  • Denbigh Police Station - Please arrange drop off times with the station 
  • Llangollen Police Station - Please arrange drop off times with the station
