Just a quick message to thank everyone who visited us in our engagement van this week in support of #OpSceptre . In all:- Were handed in during this weeks amnesty. All of which, were handed in personally to officers at our pop up amnesty engagements in various parts of the force area.
All knives now are in the drop bin ready for destruction, the air rifles and imitation firearm have been made safe and will be destroyed.
It’s great to have received so much positive support in this November’s amnesty, with many locals attending to discuss their community issues and talking about knife crime legislation.
Although #OpSceptre is at an end here in Flintshire North, we will continue to act upon any intelligence and deal robustly with anyone in possession of weapons in a public or private place.
You can report anonymously directly to officers through our community alert system, you can register for that here : Register - North Wales Community Alert OR You can anonymously report or pass intelligence through Crimestoppers.
Thanks again for helping us make our communities safer!
PC Harries
P.s, here's a look at the knives we were handed all together just prior to dropping in the bin:
