You may be aware of a recent incident where damage was caused to gravestones in Connahs Quay. An individual has been arrested and is currently under investigation. I am unable to comment further on the matter at this time. What has been truly heart warming, however, is the way our community has come together in response. The support shown to those affected, both emotionally and financially, has been incredible. There have been numerous fundraising events involving local schools and social groups, all aimed at supporting this cause. These funds will be fairly and transparently distributed. On Sunday, I organised a charity football match made up of off-duty officers, where we played against a team called "Talking Toffees" – a dedicated Everton FC fan group from Merseyside. While the match ended in a win for our side, the result is irrelevant. What truly matters is that, through the kindness and generosity of people from across the world, over £3,000 was raised to support the cause. In today’s world, negativity often dominates the headlines – but this is a powerful reminder that kindness, compassion, and community spirit are alive and well. So many people have stepped forward to make a difference, and for that, we are truly grateful. Thank you all. | ||||
