Flintshire North Review

Good Morning Flintshire North 🌧️

R3 and NPT are with you today. 68 calls for service in the last 24, 12 of which were P0 🚨  (Attended on Lights & Sirens)

🏡 1 x Domestic Incident
🚑 2 x Concern for Safety Incidents
✖️ 7 x Anti Social Behaviour Incidents

🚔 1 Arrest for breach of a criminal behaviour order, this person has a multitude of conditions relating to their behaviour and has breached the order, they're drying out in custody this morning and will be put before the first available court post interview.
👮🏿‍♂️ 28 Incidents came over to our screen for a write up with 11 recorded as crimes (so far)

🚗  There was a road closure in Flint last night due to an RTC. This was a "Police involved" RTC which means one of our cars was involved in some way. When this happens a Sergeant and traffic officers attend the scene. The police driver will also be drugs wiped and breathalysed as we would to any member of the public. There's been no injuries reported thankfully and our driving school and supervisors will review as standard.

🧑🏻‍⚖️ On our post yesterday there was a comment relating to "What happens next?"👮‍♀️ There's so many scenarios and options, between bail, charge, CPS advice etc. I think I'd have written a novel before breakfast which would likely be very boring. So instead a scenario;

🪘 A vehicle has been seen on the road to be swerving by officers, they have requested the vehicle to stop (with the ni no's) and they have.
👮🏽 PC Police suspects the driver is under the influence of alcohol, and requests a roadside sample of breath 🌬️  Legal limit is 35, they blow 109 (an actual reading I've had on the roadside)
😲 PC Police arrests the driver who says "But I've only had one!" They then transport that person to a custody suite (Probably Llay from FN) In custody, after PC Police has grassed the prisoner up to the Custody Sergeant they authorise their detention for the purpose of an "Evidential Breath Sample"
🦁 PC Police will then take the prisoner over to our Lyon machine, which takes an evidential sample. The machine samples the air for a bit and calibrates itself before the prisoner is asked to blow into it, it's a long breath and it empties the lungs to make sure we get an accurate reading.
✅ Prisoner is playing ball, and provides two samples. We use the lowest sample as our evidence because we're nice like that.
🪘 Prisoner has blown 88 and 90, so we grass him up to the Sergeant and send prisoner to their cell for some sleep, when the prisoner is blowing A LOT lower and is sober they will be brought back to the desk where they will be charged with the offence.

🤓 So that persons' been charged, what now? We create a file and we send it to the court. ✅  Job's done. Where we've witnessed the person driving, they don't need to be interviewed but if we didn't, like an RTC we've arrived at, they'll be interviewed once they're coherent. If you are charged with driving whilst over the limit on alcohol, then you can expect an obligatory driving ban some fines and court fees.

❓ Please let me know if the above is something you'd like more of :)

🐶 Today it's PD TAG who last week was with our colleagues in Gwynedd South and tracked down a High Risk Missing Person" #TheNoseKnows 💙

👑 I've been very diligent these last few days, and I have no paperwork or admin to do today, so I'll be out to pick up my NPT colleague and we'll be causing a nuisance all day! I'm then off for the next few days 😀 Have a wonderful day, and bank holiday. Stay Safe - 3604
