P'nawn da, good afternoon Resident

You may be thinking, during half term, that this is an ideal time for Schools Officers to kick back and relax. That;s not the case! We are still quite busy.

Over the last few days, I have visited a number of youth events in our community, which allows me to engage with the young people (who get to see a non-classroom version of their school officer)as well as e their grown ups. I can discuss our classroom based work with them and they get an idea of what their children receive from North Wales Police which can help parents and carers develop those lessons at home.

Another benefit is getting to work with our partner agencies (Big shout out to the Denbighshire County Council Play Rangers!). I've got some great plans ahead for the forthcoming weeks and months working alongside my colleagues from other organisations.
